Opioid Workgroup
The purpose of this workgroup initially is to develop a strategy for MassAFP to influence how the opioid crisis is addressed in the state (ensure we have a seat at the table in state-wide discussions), and recommend essential education needed to meet our members' needs.

Public Health Workgroup
The charge of this workgroup is to identify public health issues where the MassAFP could provide support and awareness through education (in collaboration with the education committee), advocacy (in collaboration with the legislative committee) and leadership (through board involvement or other measures).

As you can see, these are very important areas for MassAFP to address. We are appointing workgroups to help formulate strategies, outcomes and timelines. Workgroups will be limited in the time and number of meetings. This is where we need your help!

We need members to help serve on these workgroups. Meetings will be via phone conference and limited to 3-5 meetings. If you have any interest in the above topics please help us by agreeing to serve on a workgroup.

If interested, email executive director Becky Wimmer and she will provide you with more details. Thank you in advance - we NEED your participation, ideas and energy!
