Buffet Lunch & Legislator & Staff Meetings
Please join MassAFP leadership for Advocacy Day Wednesday, May 13, 2026, 12:30 - 4:30 PM at the University of Massachusetts Club on Beacon Hill. Advocacy Day is complimentary for all MassAFP members. Lunch will be served at 12:30pm and the speaking program begins at 1pm.
This event is an opportunity for physicians, residents, and students to advocate for the issues that are important to family physicians and to learn more about MassAFP’s legislative priorities and advocacy efforts.
The speaking program starts at 1pm and includes time to hear from our lobbyists on key bills, and then time to prepare for our meetings with state legislators and their teams.
We will break up into small groups and walk to the State House to meet many legislators and staffers where you will be able to advocate on behalf of the MassAFP, Family Medicine, and your patients, discussing issues that are important to you. We have provided links to several key bills that support family medicine, primary care, and health equity below:

You may choose to prepare stories about family medicine, what it means to be a family physician, and other topics important to family medicine physicians and their patients.
We welcome seasoned advocacy physicians, first-time attendees, and everyone in between. We welcome medical students and Family Medicine Residents.
Please check your calendars and register as soon as possible as this event is likely to fill up quickly. We hope to see you on May 13th!
