MDPH is offering an additional Networking Option "brown bag" lunch for those interested. The Immunization Updates end at 12:00 pm and the Networking Option will start at approximately 12:15 pm. It will end by 1:30 pm. We hope that this additional offering will enable you to have more time with local colleagues as well as all of the speakers from the event. There is more information on the Networking Option on each registration page for the applicable locations.

The Learning Objectives of the Immunization Updates:
Describe at least three vaccine-preventable diseases associated with recent outbreaks in Massachusetts and two recommendations for control
List one current trend in Massachusetts school immunization data
Discuss communication techniques and evidence-based strategies to increase vaccination rates
State two changes to the 2018 Childhood and Adult Immunization Schedules
Describe updates to vaccine administration guidance
State the requirements and recommendations for proper storage and handling of vaccines
Summarize the latest federal Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program requirements
Define ways to improve data quality within the MIIS and electronic health records including bidirectional data exchange
Explain providers' legal responsibility for reporting to the immunization registry

VFC Training Certificate and CME/CEU Information:

VFC Training Certificate Information: Please note that you will not receive a hard copy VFC certificate when attending an In-Person session. You will be emailed a pdf version of the VFC certificate within 3 business days of the session you attend. Please email Denise Henry (denise@adcare-educational.org) with any questions about the VFC certificate. Please contact the Immunization Assessment Unit at 617-983-4330 if you have questions about the annual VFC Compliance Training. If you are participating in the live VFC Compliance/Vaccine Storage and Handling webinar, you will receive a VFC certificate by email within 3 business days of the webinar.

Conference Evaluations for CME/CEU:Please note that this year evaluations will be completed online and not in person at the sessions. You will receive an email 1-2 days after the session to complete an online evaluation. After completing the evaluation, you will receive an electronic continuing education credit certificate in approximately 2 weeks. Please email Denise Henry (denise@adcare-educational.org) with any questions about the evaluation and/or continuing education certificate.
